On Our Way

Song of the Day: Battle of Who Could Care Less by Ben Folds Five

For the past couple of evenings, Fitz has been choosing music to play while we cook dinner together. Last night, it was Ben Folds Five's Whatever and Ever Amen. Fitz was surprised by how many lyrics he remembered, and Katherine was surprised at how long it had been since she had listened to this album. We both love the Chapel Hill connections in his music, and it brought back fun memories of going to see Ben Folds perform in Cary at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in 2008.

Katherine is now officially half-way there with Baby B! It's hard to believe that in a few more months, we'll be meeting our new addition to the family face to face. We've started looking at strollers and cribs and car seats and carriers and everything else that comes with a baby. It will be fun to see what Baby B likes. Fitz loved his bear Bruno and everything related to the Titanic; Katherine loved her bear Teddy and swinging. It's amazing how very little we change over the years...

Also, it's hard to believe that our year in Winston-Salem is rapidly coming to an end. We will have officially had our apartment for a year in a few weeks. While we are certainly looking forward to moving to Charlotte, we've really enjoyed W-S and we'll miss it. It's been a fast but wonderful year!
