Song of the Day:
Paradise by Coldplay
Well, May went fast! It was a busy month, but a good month. We promise starting this month we will be better about updating our blog!
For Memorial Day weekend, we traveled to Boston to see Fitz's long-time friend Dan and his girlfriend Caroline. Boston is a beautiful city; we were both blown away by how much we loved walking around the city and how absolutely gorgeous everything was. We went to see the USS Constitution, which made Fitz extremely happy, the New England Aquarium, which made Katherine very very happy, and we saw many other wonderful sites, like the cemetery where Paul Revere is buried, the harbor, Bunker Hill, Little Italy, several old churches, Harvard, and the JFK Memorial Library and Museum. It was great to catch up with Dan and Caroline, who were the perfect host and hostess. We had perfect weather and could not have asked for a better weekend!
The Tuesday morning after we returned from Boston, we got up bright and early to go to the doctor's to check up on Baby B. Baby B's heart rate was 150, which was excellent, and Katherine continues to feel great. She's definitely got a little baby bump now, though! We're excited about the ultrasound on June 19th when we'll get to see Baby B for the second time.
Also, Baby B received his/her first book the other day from Katherine's Aunt Susie. It's a children book of Bible stories with a sing-along CD! Thank you Aunt Susie! We're so happy that's the first book to put in Baby B's library.
In other news, Katherine completed her three lessons of Sewing 101! She feels confident that she can sew pillows, draperies, and more pillows. Fitz was impressed with how fast she seemed to pick it up. One never knows...Katherine could end up on Project Runway in a few years...
Tonight, it's curly pasta with mushrooms, spinach, and pesto and good crusty bread and possibly Iron Man.
Here are some pictures from our trip!
